Little Miss Sierra couldn't go to school today....she has the Croup :( I got to work from home this morning, which was VERY nice, and the kids got to spend the rest of the day with maw-maw. It appears that it was a rough day for Maw-Maw!

Whew...folding laundry can be exhausting....

We had a busy busy Sunday! After church, we headed to Akron to buy our new car! Which one did we get? Well, you'll have to wait and see ;) We'll pick it up on Thursday! Then Dylan and I went to Katrina's surprise 30th birthday! Dylan had a blast playing with all the kids while I got to catch up with old friends! Great times! Sunday also happens to be catch up on laundry day...and I guess it all just wore the little man out!

Women's Day Away

Our church had its annual Women's Day Away conference today. Carol Kent shared her inspiring journey and testimony and brought a lot of tears, laughter, and personal reflection. Stac and I bought three of her books and will now have to try and find to read them :)

Happy 55th Birthday Maw-Maw

As many of you already know, Friday was my mom's "double-nickel" birthday! Thanks to everyone who sent cards with 2 nickels inside...she's gotten over 80! Our family had a small party to celebrate our AWESOME mom/maw-maw!

Tyler got "student of the month" so we also say "Happy Student of the Month" to him

Dylan wanted us to sing to him...so we sang "Happy Friday" to Dylan

And finally, Dylan and Sierra got the cake they waited patiently for ALL evening long!

Tomatoes

So we planted a garden...and it grew and grew. We had tomato plants crawling out over the fence...it was huge....then I went to pick the tomatoes...and this is what we got :)

Actually, we had a ton of great tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, lettuce and green peppers. Now the pumpkins have taken over! This little guy was just too funny to not take a picture of!

While the boys were away, Sissy got to spend the day with Aunt Stac (so mommy could spring(fall) clean).

Yes...she needs to get that first haircut very soon!

Boys Weekend

This weekend B took Dylan to Cinci for a "Boys Weekend." They headed out Friday to see the Springboro football game, where Brian's brother in law Ryan is the head coach. They had some connections, so Dylan and Brayden got to stand down on the side lines with the football players and even got to play tackle football on the field after the game. (another big win for the Panthers by the way).
The boys spent the rest of the weekend at Grandma & Grandpa Smiths and Dylan did GREAT! Mommy missed her boys, but I think Sissy enjoyed the quiet time and having mommy all to herself!

Wayne County Fair

Well, the deed is done...our annual trip to the Wayne County Fair! Elephant ears, fair fries, and pork sandwiches...I should have taken pictures of the food, since that was our true motivation for going!

Dylan LOVED the sheep...had to pet every single one in both sheep barns....

Sierra enjoyed watching from the comfort of her seat...

A trip to the fair is not complete without riding a few rides....

And Dylan's other favorite...the tractors...and of course he had to sit on each and every one as well. :)

As always...a good time...but one trip a year is enough for the Smith Family!

Michigan Get-away

After Alison's wedding, we spent the night at a hotel with Maw-Maw & Paw-paw. The kids loved it and slept great! Sunday morning we asked for a late check out and spent a few hours at the pool with Chris, Shelly, Elsie & Sam.

Alison's Wedding

Saturday we headed to Michigan for Alison & Luke's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and Alison was a beautiful bride! I'd show you pictures, but somehow managed to delete all of them when loading them Monday. Here's a pic of Alison & Luke that I snatched off facebook!
